Started in the Fall of 2003 and initially hosted by our Young Lawyers Section, BWLA has continued to host semi-annual mentoring dinners to provide an intimate setting for younger lawyers and law students to interact with more seasoned and experienced attorneys to discuss issues that affect them in the workplace as well as personal issues such as balancing work and home life. Traditionally, each of the dinners draws an audience of at least 80 attorneys and law students and features a distinguished guest speaker. Beginning in March of 2011, the Mentoring Committee also launched a month long series of weekly Small Circle Mentoring dinners. Each week these dinners brought together ten or so people to discuss topics specific to a specific area of practice.
